Acquired: Late 2010 from local bonsai nursery 
Age: 20 + years old from cutting 
Recent work: Trunk chopped winter 2010, Potted into large mica training pot spring 2011, Potted into smaller mica training pot to get it closer to the final pot size spring 2012.
Future: Deadwood carving, develop foliage to span length of tree

Styling options for this tree was limited. It was destined to end up as a fairly mediocre shohin tree unless i thought outside the box. Working with what the tree had i decided to style it to mimic the growth habits of ancient oaks. Similar to this http://www.louisianagardenclubs.org/live_oak_society/photos_files/AngelOak.jpg   . I know its nothing like what junipers look like in nature so its not really bonsai more like topiary. :)
